Mr. Mintz joined the firm in 1997 and is a member of JFLCO’s Management Committee and Private Equity Investment Committee. He shares overall responsibility for the firm’s management, capital formation and investment activities.  He has primary responsibility for relationship development with the institutional investment community and operational oversight of the firm. He has served on many of the boards for JFLCO’s investments and currently serves as a director of Crystal Clean, Entact and PURIS.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Mintz was a member of the Private Equity Investment Group at Odyssey Partners, L.P. and served as a Vice President at Rosecliff, Inc., where he was involved in all aspects of the acquisition and management of several portfolio companies. He began his career at Drexel Burnham Lambert in Corporate Finance.

Mr. Mintz graduated magna cum laude from Duke University, where he earned a B.A. in economics and public policy studies and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Music Maker Foundation and the Innovation Board of the Telluride Science & Innovation Center.  He also recently completed ten years of service as a Trustee of Congregation Beth Elohim, a landmark congregation founded in 1861 that is among the largest Reform congregations in Brooklyn, NY.
